Edget Baandnet is Amharic, one of 80 Ethiopian languages, and means "growth together"

EBCC is a project among children and young people, above all providing HIV/Aids orphans and/or streetchildren (aged 6 - 17) with a home, education, food, clothes and medicine. We currently finance 2 houses with around 50 children.

EBCC was founded in 2006 by the German couple Gundi Brendes & Jörn Bernhardt, both then living and working in Ethiopia. About us...

EBCC assists since 2008 the Makibasa Korke Community near Awassa to construct a school for -nowadays- 2,300 village children. 2010 we built 2 additional classrooms. All in all we only contributed 22,000 € for this project. 2011: Alaba High School extension - finished end of July 2011, 28,000 €. Nowadays we engage in low-cost construction. 2 Classroomsof 56m² each cost 7,000 €. Since 2012 we continued with classroom construction and projects in the field of sanitation for Primary Schools and provide scholarships to female students. ... Focus on School Construction... & ... EBCC works in close cooperation with other NGOs and has chosen a partner NGO in Awassa, registered under the new NGO law as "Center of Concern". ...Our partner in Ethiopia...
